I just bought a dvx100a and i'm kind of beginner with this. someone told me rewinding hurts the heads.. and what about forwanding ?? Any comment is greatly appreciated

Don't sweat it too much. Get a deck (or a cheaper DV cam) when you can, but until then, don't worry about capturing from it.
