16:9 adapter

I'm thinking of purchasing the AG-DVX100AE (PAL) camera. I understand that the 16:9 format is not native to the camera, but that there is an adapter that can make it native. Some of the earlier posts have talked about a anamorphic lens solution, but is there some other way to get native 16:9 out of the DVX100?

You will need the adaptor. Even though some people have shot it in 4:3 and adjusted it in post. Using programs like Photozoom pro. But it is a slow process and only should be used for shorts. But the results are stunning when done correctly. Example: films by Stephen Dempsey.
