I am vascillating between the DVC 30 and the DVX 100.
I'd love to be convinced to buy the latter and may need that given the price(not sure I can find someone to come to a $1000 a plate fundraiser for me!)
My specs: I'm an advanced amateur. Do lots of travel videography and also lots of moving around and taping in professional workshops. I have fantasies of doing a documentary in the field of education. I prefer not to use a tripod. Important to me are: a bright and large eye viewfinder (I wear glasses), good image stabilization (frequently no tripod), good slow zoom control, good sound quality, and, preferable though not essential, easy neutral density control. I also wonder about the difference between the 16-1 vs. 10-1 zoom lens.
I'm also open to being convinced to going with the DVC30 and saving a lot of money.
I would be most appreciative of any of you taking the time to respond.
