New PC1000e

I have been using a IP1E for the past year and loved the quality of the video(although getting software to work with the micromv format was a pain) I am awaiting my new pc1000e, I dropped the IP1E and broke it and claimed on my house insurance, they said that this model was no longer availible will this be of similar video quality?

P.S. What software is best for PC1000e, I was thinking of buying Sony Vegas?
