Can anyone help please.

I want to record PC screens and need to use "Clear Scan"
I follow ALL instructions to activate this (pretty easy there are only 4 steps to this on page 70 of the manual)
However when I open the menu and then move down to select the clear scan, this menu item is in colour ie cant select it. All other menu items are in white and I can select them.
I have tried this in TV and M mode, in both cases I cannot select the clear scan menu.
I am presuming that another setting on the camera is blocking me from using clear scan, but after 4 hours this is driving me nuts.
Really grateful if anyone can shed some light on this.
