View Full Version : any sony ecm-ms908c stereo mic users?

any TRV38 users tried the sony ecm-ms908c stereo mic? Someone suggested this as an inexpensive alternative to shotguns. It could have decent fidelity (100-15K) and has some side and rear rejection, although not as much as a shotgun, and is steerable. They said shotguns have a lot of low end indoors becasue of reflections. I have treid the sennheiser 300, rode videomic and Azden SGM-x and none worked well, either because of hum (emf or electronic?) or poor audio.

I have the MS907, which is essentially the same mic without the shock mount. I use it with my Panasonic PV-GS250. I did a review of it (http://www.pana3ccduser.com/showthread.php?t=4104) and included some sound samples over on the Panasonic board. I think they are decent mics for not a lot of money.
