help needed in deciding

HI

I need help in deciding for a camcorder for my wife..
between Panasonic GS 400 and Sony pc 1000

I have read lot of reviews for both and i have seen the
GS 400 has very good low light performance.. and lot of manual
controls but it has it own flaws like no touch screen menu
loading of tape/video to computer has a problem (seen lot of users mentioning that) good stills..
PC 1000 is compact... easy of use....usual sony pros..
but does it have night shot feature... but bad with stills

its actually becoming difficult to decide...
