Editing with JVC HDV

Hi,
Recently purchased GY_HD100 and BR-HD50U. We have latest Avid Xpress HD on PC but we've stumbled into a few problems. Avid's website says the JVC equipment is not timecode accuarate. Is that ture? What do you use to edit your HDV material?

I may not be the most capable person to answer this question, but I will give you my 2 cents. I like you attempted to use my JVC HD-1 footage on Avid Xpress Pro HD. And like you, I ran into several problems. Tired of Avid headaches, I decided to switch to Sony Vegas. Vegas is very simple and may not be capable of complex operations, but if you are into a simple, easy to use, editing program then try Vegas. Simply capture the footage with the provided HD Capture Utility. And load those files into Vegas' media pool. It is as easy as that. Good luck.
