View Full Version : DCR TVR265E problems recording onto a dvd

naraloca
Hello,

I have a little problem, see if someone can help me.

I'm trying to install the software to record the videos from the sony handycam, onto a dvd (in the computer).

I have the original cd (i suppose it's called driver) but i can't install it, even if it says that it's installed.

Is it any other possible way to make the computer reconize the usb? I try to look for the F:, but it doesn't come up...

it sounds complicated, i know.

I'm using an Acer laptop with xp home.

thanks a lot,

Naraloca, I do not think you can create a "DVD" with the software provided. You would need DVD authoring software. You also can not transfer full quality video with USB.

You might want to read through these threads: Sticky: How involved is it to take footage from mindv and put it on DVDs??? (http://www.camcorderinfo.com/bbs/t112471.html) and USB vs Firewire (http://www.camcorderinfo.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=124266)

I hope you can hekp me...

I tried again last night. I can see the video on my pc, and when i click to save onto my computer.... after ....40 minutes, i stays frozen, like looking for more footage... i left it the whole night, because it didn't say that there was an error... it was like looking for some more, and the only option i had it was to cancel it.... so i waited, but this morning it was at the same point.
I'm going to try to save it onto a cd, and i tell you afterwards, thanks for your reply!!

You might check to make sure you have the current ImageMixer or PicturePackage software at:
