View Full Version : sony dcr-pc350 16:9 viewing problems

javace79
- When I record 16:9 format and burn it to dvd using my Sony DVDirect vc-20 for some reason it displays in 4:3 mode on my tv's and on my laptop.
- So the main problem is the image is stretched vertically.
- This also occurs when I transfer it to my Lite-On LVW-5045 which I set previsouly to display at 16:9.
- I don't know if it is maybe the TDK miniDV tapes I am using or what.

Also if anyone knows how to reduce the red-eye while taking pictures in the picture mode.

I would appreciate any help.
Thank You for your time.

Hi. If I'm not mistaken, i think you need to go to your menu(not p-menu) and go to STANDARD SET(the red tool box) and then go to TV TYPE and then press 4:3 if your TV is 4:3 or 16:9 if it's widescreen. Hope this helped! Oh and the red eye thing-maybe use some software that reduces it. And by the way, if you had a choice between the PC350 and PC1000, which would u pick and why?

How does it look when you play it back directly to a tv??
Is your tv 16:9 or 4:3??
