Hi.
I am a film maker from India, where all these new cameras are not easily available even if you want to buy one. I was behind all these new breeds of inventions and few months back I bought a JVC HD 101e camcorder from Singapore after reading and verifying all details about this camera. Since I was using a Sony FX 1 for last one year, I had a deep knowledge in HD format and Its editing set-ups. I myself had an editing system with me. But I was so interested in the proffessional controls and 24p shooting capability of JVC camera. I lived its look. When I started to use the camera, I found that non of these known softwears are not capable to capture JVC HD images into my computer. Then I experimented myself with different softwears since I am only person having this camera in my state. Finally I found in Sony vegas I can capture the visuals but its not firendly for editing. But most of the time it wont detect by the computer and you have to try many times to get it linked to the computer (if you are lucky). Still for 24p there will be question mark ????
And suddenlty one fine morning inbetween my non-stop experiments to find a proper sollussion to use this camera for my works, I found that the IEEE out put is not working. It is dead. I felt like I am betwenn hell and sea. I have wrote to JVC ASIA and they forwarde my complaint to a service centre in India, Since I am in India. But their reaction was so disappointing which says that they are not interested to take care of any product bought from outside. Since I bought this camera through one of my friend and I lost the bill they said they cant help me. After I wrote to them many letters they agreed to repair the camera for $2000+. All these time I was writing to all awailable contacts in JVC but they kept silent. Still I am waiting. But meenwhile I came to know that, this complaint is one of their designing error in this camera which will damage the IEEE IC if you connect the camera when the computer is on. This is informed by one of the top technician in JVC when I spoke to him on the phone. When I checked this I came to know that this complaint is there with most of the camera they sold. But they are not showing any responsibility in this designing error which has to be repalace by an upgraded IC or IEEE board. They should be responsible for the complaint in a camera like this wich is manufactured with in this year. Still I relay on my Sony camera. And this is my second experience with JVC (I HAD SINGLE CCD CAMERA 5 years back)
I would like to request help from all the members in this forum to get out of this pannic situation arised in my life becuase of I bought a JVC HD camera. Kindly give all contact IDs of the top officials in JVC if you have it or forward this complaint to them. I wrote many letters but still they are silent. Help me and guide me.
MY advice. ... Dont trust JVC ... they have all the junk tech which attract us and trap us into it.
Sorry for writing like this....about JVC. But that is the trueth. I have all evidense.
THank You
