Best place to use a polarizing filter

What are the best and worst places to use a polarizing filter?

The best place to use a polarizer is any shot that has blue sky in it. Without the polarizer the sky probably won't appear to be the correct color. With the polarizer it will appear the right shade of blue. Remember that you have to rotate a circular polarizer to get the right effect. It depends on the direction of the sun as to which direction your polarizer should be oriented. You can see the effects as you turn the filter.

Of course any time you have glare in a shot a polarizer will help.

The worst time I can think of to use any filter is when light conditions are low. All filters will block some light including light that you might need. Your video could become too dark when you're using a filter.

Yah I find Im blind in low light - its all so dark with a UV filter and polarizer on!
