View Full Version : Can't Choose From The Two Wide Angles

Suren
I need a wide angle lens from Century for my Vx2100. I'm a little short on cash so I decided I can't get the .3x Ultra Fisheye so I've found these two. Which one would you recommend? And which one will give me a wider field of view? And would anyone happen to have any comparison shots? Thanks guys!

This is the first one..

I have not used either lens. One is a 58mm Thread Version and .65X Wide Angle the other is a Bayonet Version for the DCR-VX2000/2100.

I would guess the Century Precision Optics DS-55WA-SB is designed for your camcorder.

Century Precision Optics DS-65CV-58 0.65x Wide Angle Converter Lens - 58mm (Screw Mount)
The Digital Series is a family of high quality lenses available in a screw-on version with 58mm threads for use on camcorders and palmcorders, like the Panasonic AG-EZ1 or the AG-456. Step-up rings are also available for adapting to even smaller lens fronts.

65X Wide Angle Converter 58mm Thread Version

Century Precision Optics DS-55WA-SB 0.55x Wide Angle Adapter - for Sony DSR-PD150/170, DCR-VX2000/2100 & DSR-250 Camcorders (Bayonet Mount)
