View Full Version : Problem with appling a effect on a specific area of frames
searcher123
Dear sir/madam
I have a very big problem with Ulead VideoStudio 10 Plus and I hope you can help me.
By VS10+, applying an effect on the whole of frames is simple, but what if I want to apply an effect on a specific area of frames? For example, if I want to apply "Mosaic" effect just on the face of a person without other areas of frames be affected what must I do?
Thanks very much

Hi Searcher123,
The effect you are looking for is quite difficult to achieve in a consumer level editing program.
Check this link out for a method:

Dear lancecarr,
Thanks for your answering, I will test it. Do you know any film editor that can do this work easily?
Thanks again
Best Regards

You could try Ulead Media Studio Pro or the top end Sony program (Vegas?) or similar but what you are really looking for is not an editor. What you are looking for is something like Adobe After Effects which is designed to produce effects, not edit. These are called "Compositors" or "Effects" programs. As you move up in price the various editing programs will start to include more advanced effects and more advanced controls over those effects.
