View Full Version : Motorized tripod?

YoYoMa
Does something like this exsist? I was hoping for somthing that could turn the camera as well as rise and drop via a remote control. Control over the speed at which these things happen would be very nice as well. Also being able to program it to do certain things after a certain amount of time would be really great as well. These options sound pretty out there when I'm writing them but are there any ideas on the exsistance of such an item? Thanks.

I'd be willing to bet you could find a remote control tripod. Where, I don't know. I'd start my search with some of the high end tripod manufacturers. Sachtler and Bogen/Manfrotto are the only names that come to mind. I can't get to the B&H site to look up some of the others. Anyway, get a few names and call them up and describe what you want. They'll probably be quite helpful considering what you're likely to pay for this sort of thing.

Programmability, I'm not so sure of.

BTW, I moved your thread over to the Tripod forum where you'll have a better chance of getting a response.

Good luck.

I still can't get through to B&H but I remembered another pro tripod manufacturer: Cartoni.

Good luck.

The other pro tripod manufacturers that might have what you need are Miller and Vinten.

Good luck.
