Yesterday I received my order of a DCR-SR100, which is a hard drive based sony camcorder. The convenience of not dealing with tapes seems really nice.
Obviously the HDR-HC1 has many more controls and is of course high-def. But what I'm specifically wondering about is color quality and light sensitivity.
The only negative things I've read about the HC1 are:
1) washed-out brights in bright light, while shadows are all black.
2) trouble in low light.
3) sometimes trouble with autofocus.
Does anyone know how these things compare to the DCR-SR100?
Thanks in advance!
