View Full Version : Canon Gl2 Best Online Price...No Grey Market Please!
MadonnaSurprise
I'm doing some online price shopping for a Gl1/2 and wanted to know some good Canon-authorized sellers (not looking for any sold on the grey market!). Any news is much appreciated! Thanks.

I have dealt with B&H a few times over the past 30+ years. I have always had excellent results with them: B&H Photo (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/)
I have also had excellent results with newegg: NewEgg (http://www.newegg.com/)
There are other good dealers; but I do not have any experience with them in purchasing camcorders.
Please check ResellerRatings (http://www.resellerratings.com/rlist-s1-n1.html) before you make a purchase with any on-line merchant, Enter the store name in the "Enter STORE Name: (i.e. Newegg)" search block.
There are many on-line merchants who are not as honest as their web site might claim.

I heard NewEgg sells some stuff from the grey market though. hnx for the infoI've never heard that, I don't plan on repeating it. But if you search on the Internet enough you could find almost anything... The above are my actual experiences, not what I heard. I don't want to yank my receipts but about $3,000 in purchases (mostly computer items, one camcorder, one still camera) on about 6 orders over the past 6 months or so. No problems with newegg. Different people will have different experiences.

bhphoto is legit. i have purchased many things from them. im actually going to sell my gl1 to them for 750. they will probably turn around and sell it for about 1400 used. its in excellent condition with just 1 little scratch on the side, which is barely noticeable. i plan on finalizing the sale on monday, august 28, 2006. so if anyone is interested in it, they can hit me up @ mrjamel@optonline.net or wait until i sell it to bhphoto and buy it from them. :D

I also purchased my GL2 from BHPhoto.
It was $2095 and they included DV Rack Express/Serious Magic
software, whatever that is.
Also, a B&W UV Hase Filter to help protect the lens was a little extra.
I plan on accessorizing soon :)
BHPhoto shipped it out very fast which was nice.
Hope this helps.

B & H Photo gets my nod.
I purchased the GL2 from them when it had the $250 rebate this spring...my final cost wast a little less than $1,750.00 brand new.
