View Full Version : VDR-D100 as webcam?

I read the camcorderinfo.com review on the VDR-D100 and it says the camcorder can be used as a webcam but there are no instructions on the internet or in the manual.

Has anyone done this or did camcorderinfo.com make a mistake in their review?

Just as I thought!

The review on http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content/Panasonic-VDR-D100-First-Impressions-Camcorder-Review.htm is a false review, this camcorder cannot be used as a webcam.

Thats what I get for trusting a 3rd party review from a source thats incompetent!

Get your facts straight or stop writing reviews!

If your PC has a TV card with A/V inputs, you can connect the A/V out from the camcorder to this and use it as a webcam.

The Panasonic VDR-D100 does not have a webcam feature. This has been deleted from the First Impressions review. Thank you for spotting it.

Please note that First Impressions reviews are based on the best knowledge available at the time, prior to a product's official release. The full review of the VDR-D100 (http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content/Panasonic-VDR-D100-Camcorder-Review.htm) was published soon after, and did not mention a webcam feature. While we try to maintain the best information on old content, sometimes mistakes get through. We thank readers with eagle eyes for finding them.
