external microphone for PVGS120

I want to buy an external microphone for my PVGS120 so i can have a clear recording of my daughter's baby language. Is it necessary? Can you give me some recommedation about what brands should I buy? Thanks a lot, I appreciate your help.

Hi Larry,

I have the same camera, and it records fantastic sound on its own. I do have an external mic for it, but I only use that for event videography when I'm farther away from the action. You will have no problems using the built-in mic to record your daughter, it will be crystal clear.
