I'm looking at starting a part time business doing video recording, editing and "production" work for a few local companies.
This is primarily promotional videos that will be outputted on DVD as final product. The computer side I'm comfortable with generally speaking but wanting the "best camera for the job".
I'm not a professional but I can budget for a GL2. Is this camera good enough for shooting corporate events indoor and outdoor? That would be the primary use..... I want the final DVD to look just like you were watching a store bought DVD I guess is what I'm saying...
I don't know a lot about the formats but a buddy is trying to talk me into a hard disk Sony camcorder which is about $2500 less. I can't see this comparing apples to apples.
I know my questions are pretty broad but if you looked around at local small video production shops, would you find a GL2 or would it be higher end generally?
Finally, I really don't know all the differences.... I can relate to digital cameras where your megapixals is important but so is the CCD etc.
Any input is much appreciated.... I can get a good deal from an existing supplier on the GL2 which is helpful too..;)
