View Full Version : record line in audio with dvd-dvd405e?

hi
I have recently bought the dcr dvd405e.
One of the strong reasons i picked this cam is because it said on the website that it features an audio line in.

After trying for hours and reading all the literatur i cant seem to work out hot to record images using the camera lens while recording audio through the audio line in throught the a/v connection.

The only way i have managed to record audio through the line in input is with video running also through the a/v input. :(

Reason this is important is that i perform in a band and want to be able to video our shows while taking in the audio from the mixing console.

Can anyone please help me with this?

Thanks in advance/ Troi Tyrrell

You can not do that. When you plug the AV cable into a camcorder it expects the audio and video to come through the AV cable.

The microphone jack, if the camcorder has it allows audio to be recorded with what the lens sees.
