I've been working on a documentary and am nearing completion, getting ready to put everything on DVD in a few weeks. DVD Studio Pro is a bit too expensive for my needs, though I considering getting a membership at a local filmmakers organization just to use a workstation with it installed. The problem is, I'm guessing the learning curve is a bit high, and I doubt I'd be able to put something together without learning DVD Studio's ins and outs first.
iDVD is nice but I've grown out of it and need something that offers a bit more versatility, though if push comes to shove I can use one of the less tacky templates and work with it.
I'm trying to find an app that's somewhere in between the two and less than a $100; an app that would let me design some nice custom DVD menus with a short learning curve and most importantly, small price. Does such a thing exist in OS X? I have a MacBook alongside my PowerMac with Bootcamp installed, so I'm open to Windows suggestions as well, as long as said suggestion can handle DV encapsulated in a QT file with chapter markers.
