Avid Liquid creating White Flash effect

Can anyone give me a few pointers how to go about adding a white flash effect for transitions?

Does it envolve a dissolve effect with a white color? I just don't know how to go about it.

I posted this question here since Avid Liquid is pretty much Pinnacle Liquid.
