disc compatibility with VDR-d300

I have ordered but not yet recieved at vdr-d300.

I would like to find out if anyone has used Ritek or Optodisc -rw discs. I will be using a high volum of discs and need to retain the originals (legal stuff) and want to keep costs down.

I've seen what Panasonic officially approves, and was curios.

By now you have received your new toy. Am in the market for that model and would like to hear about your likes and criticisms, especially how it handles DVD-RAM and the -R media.

Haven't seen any reviews yet on the D-310 which seems to be a successor to the D-300. That might be a reason to hope for price reductions for the latter.
