sony has discontinued dvd405 camcorder. IT is not available on their web site for last 2 weeks. Is it because it has any problems or it is competing with their own dvd 505 ? :confused:

I called their customer service but didnt get much information.

They normally come out with new models around February-March.

It could be they've started manufacturing the new models and they misjudged how many of the current models to keep in inventory. Seems a bit early for that, though.

Or it could be they misjudged how many to produce for the Christmas selling season and have run low.
