View Full Version : sound is distored when transferred to computer

gel
Hi,

After I transferred HQ video to the computer and playback using Windows Media Player the sounds seem to be distored (not clear, not synchronized, etc.). This hadn't happened before, but of course, before, I recorded using SP -- I don't know if this made a difference. However, when I playback on the DVD Handycam itself, the sounds seem to be perfectly synchronized and clear. Any ideas?

Thank you.

I don't know but you might check out what kind of audio is recorded at these 2 speeds. PCM and AC3 are both legal on NTSC equipment. Your computer should be able to decode PCM with no problem but it probably doesn't have an AC3 CODEC? Just a wild guess on my part since I don't have a MiniDVD camcorder.
