View Full Version : Panasonic DVC30 problem (need help)
fruitisgood
Ok, I have a Panasonic DVC30 which is 18 months old and has started doing some wierd things. When the camera has been on for more than 10 mins, turning the camera off or switching to VCR mode causes a problem when you return to the camera mode. The screen is shaking which comes out on the tape if you record it, if however you record straight into a PC this shaking is replaced by a weird double vision. The camera is out of warranty and I cant find much help within the Panasonic website.
Does anyone know a cause and solution?

does sound like something is wacky. did you drop the camera? have you tried hitting the reset button to see if that works?

I would have initially said you are seeing the normal time out that you can change in the menu as far as the unit turn off, but this whole shaking thing has got be stumped. I agree with TT2, did you drop it? Try reseting the unit using the small reset button. Is the shaking horizontal or verticle? You might have changed a setting if you have been messing around in the menus, but there again I can't think of one that would cause what sounds like the output frame rate to change.....

The DVC30 cam has a system "Reset" button, read page 84 in the DVC30 Manual for System Resetting.
