View Full Version : DVC30/Wireless Sound Board

Freak This Geek
A couple more things before I buy. I'm planning on doing some work with a few friends in bands. I would like to tape some live shows, get good audio and have the freedom to move around the club. I would like to get the audio straight from the sound/mixing board (wireless). What is the best way to do this? And does anyone have any good low light settings out there?

Thanx a bunch!
Sorry for the ridiculous questions!

no the best way to do it is have the live sound mixer record it to dat or minidisc or cd or whatever, where he's at. You video the show, sync them up in post. a decent wireless audio setup with no issues will cost more than your camera.

I think there is a low light thread with settings in here somewhere.

Umm, well from what I've found out from low light is that I like to turn down the detail, keep chroma at 0 or less and take master ped and turn it down so that areas that are dark/shaded turn full out black to give better contrast and less noise. If your looking for lighter look, then turn master ped up to lighten the darker areas more. If you quickly read the back of the DVC30 manual, it briefly explains the scene file settings if your unsure of them.
