View Full Version : Best software for slideshow...

jamesjames041
I am making a video for my daughter's cheerleading team and want to include a slide show of snapshots from all of the parents for the entire year. There are too many pics, to show them one at a time the video would be 3 hours long.
I am using Pinnacle Studio 10, but it can only display one pic at a time. I am looking to upgrade my software, but would like to be able to show 3, 4, or even 5 pics per page in the slide show portion of the video.... with backgrounds. Much like you can do in Powerpoint where you can have the pics enter in a specific order with specific transitions.

Will Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 and Premiere elements 2.0 do what I am looking for?
If not are there any suggestions for software that can meet my needs?

Thanks
Jimmy

I think you can do this with proshow gold from photodex.com. The neat thing about this program which I recently used to make a wedding CD from about 600 photos is you can output it to CD, DVD or a mpeg2 video file at 640 x 480 if you want to import it into your NLE. I believe they have a demo that you can try.

Silly question but could you not import the 3 or 5 photos into PhotoShop (or similar prog) and create a composite image that can then be loaded as a single image with PS10?

Try one of the three programs form Sony...excellent for sideshows.
Vegas Movie Studio+DVD might be best if you are unfamiliar with the program as they have tutorials...
