In device manager it says "Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller"
This is built into the computer.
I will be using it to transfer from a GR-D72U

Also is there a difference between using a 6 to 4 pin vs a 4 to 4 pin cable?
My computer accepts both types and I want to use the best in speed and quality. :D

As long as your Bus Host Controller does not have ! (exclamation point) or ? (question mark) next to it then it should work.

There should be no difference using a 6 to 4 pin vs a 4 to 4 pin cable. Some people believe a 4 to 4 pin cable would be safer.
