...I need your help.
anyone that owns a consumer JVC camcorder or one similar to the GR-D295U or GR series:
A. Is a JVC [consumer] camcorder functional with just the charger plugged in and no battery plugged in?
I'm asking because I don't know. Please tell me.

B. Has anyone had this problem-
The camera will not turn on at all or respond to anything. I think it has to do with my using a different charger (even though the charger was a lower DC output voltage) and destroying either the battery or the camera. I have a hunch it's the battery, because of the extra 2 prongs in the middle. Does anyone know what the [T] and [C] prongs are for, or has anyone had a similar problem?
