Convert to QT or AVI?

I use Avid Xpress for editing. Has anyone been able to convert video files from the GZ-HD7 to Quicktime or AVI? I think this will be the only way I will be able import to Avid. If so, does anyone have a sample video I can download? I have tried some mpeg2 samples without any luck.

For now, I think I will have to wait for a software upgrade from Avid before I can do anything with these new HD hard drive camcorders.

Of course your talkin HD right? I have Pinnacle Studio 10, Adobe premiere pro, Cyberlink and none of these allow for HD in .avi or .qt . I'll have to follow this thread too! I need it for using my Commotion pro software for special effects which uses HD .avi . So a convert must be out there. I havent done a web search yet but I'll need one in less then a week. I just finished my 1st HD projects general layout so I'll be needing to input video special FX next. I'm doing sound FX & music now. I'll keep you informed also.
