View Full Version : HD back recording to tape

erdna
I am using VS10+ for HDV editing. It all goes well. What bothers me a bit is that for the HDV back recording to tape, the camera has to be "on" at the end of the final rendering. Seems very normal... but this process takes sometimes quite a while, When I let the rendering process unattended, I have to keep the camcorder on all the time, and I don't like this. When it is not switched on at the end of the final rendering (just before the actual play back starts) the rendered file seems to become locked. It then takes again a long time to re-open and re-render it. Is there another way to use this rendered file?. Thanks for any advise.

I've never actually recorded back to my camera, but you don't have to do it as a part of rendering, do you?

After you render, the rendered file gets put into the default library. Just go to Share, click on that clip in the library, and click DV Recording.
