Is it posible to use the Canon HV20 to import video shot on an XH A1 into a NLE? I thought that i read somewhere that the HV20 can do that. :confused:

Yes, both HV10 and HV20 supports 24f,30f and 60i playback from A1. So you can use them as a deck for A1.

Thank you vsansal. I'm now planning on purchasing the HV20 sometime soon, and will then upgrade to the A1 later on this year. I will then use the HV20 as a deck like you suggested, or as a second cam. :D

HV20 is definitely a great camcorder and will make a perfect B camera/deck for A1. In daylight shootings it will be so hard to tell them apart but in low light A1 will be superior.
