Does anyone have or recommend this camcorder, for someone looking for one under $300.

I have the 770, which is the same execpt the 770 takes an SD card. Works just great for me.

Well , I took my 770 back to Wal-Mart and got the 796 at Sams Club. The 796 is the same as the 770, but you get 2 batteries and 2 tapes for free and it was only $20.00 more. Same camera, same excellent results!!!! Good Deal! :)
