View Full Version : DCR-DVD105 - permanent timestamp

agostal
I have a Sony Handycam DCR-DVD105

I would like to set it in a way that for every video I take, the timestamp is permanent .. when I rip the DVD to WMV or AVI

The challenge so far is that when i "rip" the DVD image into wmv or any other format, I loose the timestamp

Could anyone assist

Digital cams do not "stamp" the time on the image the same way the old analogue cams did.
In the case of your DVD cam the time data is part of the MPEG stream so behaves entirely differently. There is a program I think called DV Timestamp which (also I think!) allows you to display the time stamp on the final image by processing it on a computer.

Lance,

when I playback the DVD in PowerDVD, it shows the timestamp

This means that powerdvd can read the timestamp info - so I need to find a way to superimpose that info on the file then convert to a web friendly format

basically, I would like to show the videos on a website but include the timestamps

any ideas
