Totally Lost - NEED HELP PLEASE with DX1

I was lucky to get a great birthday present - so I thought; but I am going bald ripping my hair out and need help.

Received a Panny HDC-DX1

Used a DVD-RW; recorded onto the disk and could not get it uploaded to my PC. I read someone elses post who had the same problem - I got ISOBuster - now I can see the files....

Getting somewhere right!?

MEI_UDF Folder with BDMV / AVCHDTN Folders etc...
I used to have a Panny with MiniDV - used my IEEE Cable / uploaded everything to my PC - was able to Use Vegas Studio etc...


What do I do -
How do I convert them into something I can use?
Do these work in Pinnacle 11 Maybe?
What are these and how the heck do they work!??!

Really stuck here - and I do not want to try and return this B-Day Present....

I've never understood the benefit of the DVD based camcorders over SDHC cards or even DV tape. They are nothing but trouble. Both of my Panasonic camcorders are SDHC card based. Very easy to use, and very easy to off-load to a PC. However, you have the DVD based unit.

If you can see the directory structure, then you should be able to find the "streams" folder. It's down deep, so keep looking. The big files in there are what you want. The rest is of no real use.

I use Pinnacle Studio 11 Ultimate to edit my AVCHD videos. I think it will take these raw files without changing the file extension to M2T the way the Panasonic software does when you off-load the SDHC camcorders.
