PE3 upgrade need PE2 to be loaded?

To anyone that has purchased and installed the PE3 upgrade.

Does PE2 have to be already installed on the computer, or can PE3 be loaded by just typing in the PE2 s/n or putting the PE2 install CD in the CD drive?

Each generation of the program is an entire program, Joe. The "upgrade" is merely a special price for owners of previous versions.

You do not need a previous version on your computer to install the new version.
