My wife recently began creating videos, and has encountered a few issues that have been very frustrating for her. First, every time she opens Pinnacle, it says:

"Pinnacle Studio has detected that your display adapter requires an updated driver for best results. Check the manufacturer's web site for driver downloads (see information below). Please exit Studio and install the new driver. Display adapter: Intel(R) 82915G Express Chipset family Manufacturer: Intel Corporation"

When she installs the latest driver, it doesn't seem to work. Not sure if this is related, but the video in Pinnacle only works about 2% of the time. When she opens studio to view the video, she either gets a green screen or a black screen, and sometimes audio only, but usually nothing at all.

The second issue is that it seems to crash about 80% of the time.

p.s. We have version 11.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I know what the problem is... Pinnacle. If you can, send it back, and get ANY other program. I'm not very good at solving pinnacle issues, so I can't help you with the driver problem. Try uninstalling Pinnacle, installing the latest updates, and reinstalling Pinnacle.

The issue to me sounds like your video card isn't compatible or doesn't meet the minimum system requirements for Pinnacle 11...Sound like an integrated video card to me...Find out your system specs then compare to the min requirements...As for Pinnacle in general, it is by far the best product I've used and I've tested them all...Keep in mind I'm a Vista user so it may be a different story in XP
