View Full Version : Is Panasonic is stopping production of SDR-H200?

One sales rep told me that Panasonic has stopped making SDR-H200 and I'm inclined to believe as it is out-of-stock everywhere. One would think that a manufacturer would prepare to meet holiday demand but is not so in the case of SDR-H200 (most sellers seem to have other panasonic models)

I'm not getting SDR-H200 for a reasonable price and I'm hating it. Grrr!!

Every year about this time some people ask how low will the price of model x camcorder drop, and then they find that some popular models are in short supply.

But the US Panasonic web site still shows the SDR-H200 for $699.95 and Ships within 3-5 business days. I was able to add it to their cart.

Rich,

That is true but at USD 699 (plus tax, shipping) SDR-H200 stops making sense.

A quick search shows that you're right that it appears to not be as widely available, or as cheap as it was towards the end of this past summer (when I bought mine for $565).

I did just find it on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-SDR-H200-3-1MP-Optical-Stabilized/dp/B000M4KJV4/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1197033548&sr=8-1) for $590 with free shipping.
