View Full Version : Recording HiDef in Hard Disk(HDD) vs MiniDV cassette ?

prashanthchou
Hi

I am planning to buy a sony HiDef camcorder as I thinking thats the latest technology.

There are options of using the HDD(hard disk drive) as the recording media or a MiniDV cassette.

Can some experts tell me which would me better.

1. If the Hard disk after I transfer to my personal hard drive fails then
we might loose everything ? as opposed to the MiniDVM cassette, where atleast we can save them.

2. Does the HiDef recording good o n Hard Disk or MiniDVM cassette ?
or it does not matter ?

Thanks in advance
