I'm thinking of making amateur films since I'm still a student, and I'm thinking of getting the above-mentioned on the thread title.
1. Which is better? I'm leaning towards HDD camcorders in the $400-600 range, and I sure can't afford the ones in the $1000+.
And about compatibility issues...
2. ...will these work on the Mac? I'm not sure about the compatibility of camcorders on macs since a lot of Sony camcorders are geared towards Windows.
And considering my price range...
3. ...what other HDD camcorders would also work well?
4. I hear that MiniDV camcorders have better quality than the HDD's. Should I just go with those since I'm just beginning to make films? Or should I just stick with HDD camcorders since they are the current future?
