View Full Version : HX-A1 Final cut project format

Hi all,

I'm in the middle of changing from pc to mac, windows to mac os, premier pro to final cut pro  . I use a canon xh-a1 to for filming. In the past, when I've used premiere pro to edit there has been a SD PAL 16:9 format project setting available . When setting up a final cut project the same setting is not available in the easy set up menu. However, there is a PAL anamorphic setting which I'm currently using. Is this the correct setting for PAL SD 16:9. I think it must be correct but I would appreciate it anyone could confirm this or any info on using PAL SD 16:9 related issue's.

I've never used final cut in my life, however I am 99% sure that would be the right setting simply because 16:9 DV is anamorphic. In fact calling it "anamorphic" is better than "16:9", because 16:9 could mean letterboxed.
