Best mic and other accessories

I have decided to go with the HV30,:D (anyone tell me if there is something better or if i should wait but...) What is a really good mic for the HV30?
I will be record a large depth of noise (theme parks, scenery, ect.) not interviews. is the Audio Technica ATR55 a good one?
also beside extra batteries and tapes and a lens set, is there anything else i should be looking into?

I've got the HV20, for which I've made a number of Mods which may be of interest to you.

As for Mics, lots of folks like the Rode Mics.

Whatever Mic you get, be sure it is, or can be, mounted in a Shock Isolator Type Mount. Either one that you buy, or one that you make - as I have. That will reduce the noise you get from touching the Cam, or other noises a Cam makes, that a Mic can pick up if hard mounted (that is directly attached)
