Hey guys, can any of u confirm that the Spotlight mode in the SD1 (i own the SD3) works differently to the spotlight mode found on the canons, which by limiting the gain to 0db?
I was assuming that the spotlight mode would limit the gain to 0db while automatically controlling the other variables. From my tests, i can c that the gain is automatically raised above 0db when there is low light.
Just wondering if thats how its supposed to be, because thats really how i would prefer it to be, helps keep the noise/softening low.
Thx
Edit: This question was answered on the canon section. Basically, the gain goes up, unlike the canon which holds it at zero.
