View Full Version : SR11/12 Owners -- Did you consider buying the Canon HF10/100 ?

I'm torn between the Sony SR11/12 and the Canon HF10/100.
For the SR11 or SR12 owners that considered buying the HF10 or HF100, can you share the reasons why you decided on the Sony and not the Canon? It might help me with my decision.
Thanks! :)

I would have to say the new chips sony is using from there pro camera was a big factor. From all the stories I have read, the footage is awesome. Another would be how well built it is. After reading how someones SR11 fell off the tripod and hit the ground and survived with no problems. My current camcorder is a Sony SR100 and shoots beautiful video. It too is well built. Works flawlessly. The adjustment knob up front helped allot too. Suggest you download the manuals and read their capabilities. The higher cost does bite but worth it. Mine arrives tomorrow. Got mine from B&H Photo. They had a kit for 95 cents more I couldn't pass up. Go check it out. Good luck on your decision.
