What's the maximum capacity of the Memory Stick Pro Duo supported?

In the users manual, (handbook) it states on page 106 "On a 'Memory Stick Pro Duo' the maximum memory capacity of a 'Memory Stick Pro Duo' that can be used with your camcorder is 8 GB."
Not sure the camcorder could format at 16 - 32 GB stick.

Then why do you buy a camcorder with a 60 GB HDD ???? My HDR-SR12E has been around all over Russia and the Ukraine, from the hot Black Sea to cold Siberia, without any problems with the HDD. I made during that long trip about 12 hours of raw footage. That would be a lot of reliable memory sticks.

16GB is support for both SR11 and SR12.

As whether it can support 32GB, we will have to wait next year to find out. And hopefully 16GB price will drop as well... $200+ CDN is still expensive.
