View Full Version : Canon Brand Bag Recommendation
garypen
I just received my HF100 from Amazon (great price, btw), along with a Canon SC-A70 bag, which was recommended as "compatible" on the Canon USA website. However, it is WAY too big for this tiny camcorder. (I can't imagine carrying enough crap to make use of all the extra room.) Unfortunately, none of the bags that Canon doesn't list the dimensions for any of the bags they recommend for the HF100. (WTF?)
Does anybody here have any experience with any of the following CANON bags, especially with the HF100/HF10? Or, a list of their dimensions, so that I can make up my own mind? Thanks.:
SC-A30
SC-A40
SC-A60
I appreciate it.

I see there are no recommendations for Canon brand bag. Oh well. I'm open to non-Canon products, if they work well for the HF100.
What are you HF100/HF10 owners using as bags for your camcorders?
Thanks.

There are literally hundreds of camera bags manufactured. I go for the cheap ones like at Wal-Mart.
My current bag that I use most often: http://www.camcorderinfo.com/bbs/showpost.php?p=206018&postcount=13

I have now the Lowepro MX20. Just as big as necessary. Only space for SD-Card, no space for second accu.

search for "canon digital kit bag" on google.

The case I use is the Road Wired Pod Case. It's small but big enough for a few accessories. I have the red version so it's easier to see.

First post, and a late one at that ...
just for future people with same question:
Lowepro Edit 110:
Front Pocket: 3SDHC cards 8Gb (2 small pockets + plastic to put third in while in use)
2 Side Pockets: 1 extra battery in each side or 1 battery + remote in other and mini HDMI cable in front pocket
Camera space = good fit for camera itself "snug" fit for camera with wide lens attached, small pocket on top for cleaning tissue
(just mentioning my setup for it)
very compact and at 20$ an absolute steal.
For safety I put the lens cover (plastic) on the wide lens when I put it when attached in the camera bag, also getting it out with lens attached you have to be carefull because depending how you put it in, the viewer might flip out if you're not carefull.
Hope this is usefull for someone.
P.S.: There is NO room for the charger, which is why I forgot it on my last trip which was really irritating because they DONT sell the charger (or camera) in the middle east yet :() maybe there's space for the external battery charger (optional accessory) in one side pocket but since I've not seen it here yet (and find it quite expensive +/-80$)
I can't be sure of that - End rant

My HF-11 manual recommends the Canon SC-2000 no idea if its any good. I've ordered it so will give a small review. Im guessing its going to depend on how many accessories you have as well. At the moment I have none but hope to get the wide angled lens WD-H37 II for the camera.
