recording on to sd card

on the hf 10 canon i cant figure out how to bypass the builtin memory and record directly onto the memory sdhc card

please advise

Have you tried the user guide? If it's possible, it should be described there. In any case, I'm moving this to the HF10 forum.

yes, its in the user manual.

I guess it would literally harelip someone to give you a friendly and straight answer.

In video record mode, get to the menu (Func, menu symbol) and look for MEMORY OPER, select that then select MEDIA:MOVIE and there you get to select which media, internal or card.

It's on page 33 of the manual, I have the HF100 so I'm not faced with that dilemma.

These are sure great little cameras, aren't they?
