canon hv cassette compartment

Hello guys,
my old canon hv10 started giving me the remove cassette message.
While it is recording, it stops at 40 minutes and tels me to remove the cassette.

Do u know if and what other canon model mountthe same cassette compartment of the hv10 ?

I read that the canon camcorders have this problem. ("Remove the Cassette" and "Eject" message Problem... )
It seems that canon is aware of it but they do not repair the camera for free.... (we need to pay about 250 dollars).

I was wondering if anyone found out what is the problem that the canon camcorders have .
Do u guys know what is the part that is failing ?
How is it called ?
